This contest is sponsored by RE/MAX (the "Contest Sponsor") and executed by the Western Hockey League (the "Contest Executor"). By entering the RE/MAX Home Team Contest, entrants agree to comply with the following rules and regulations:

  1. Promotion Period:Starting Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 12:00 noon and ending Monday, April 30, 2012 at 12:00 midnight, at which time no further entries will be accepted.

  2. Eligibility: This promotion is open to all legal residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, who are 18 years of age or older. Employees (and members of the immediate families and households of such employees) of RE/MAX of Western Canada (the "Contest Sponsor"), The Brick (the "Co-Prize Sponsor"), and the Western Hockey League (the "Contest Executor") and their respective affiliated, associated, and related companies, agents, subsidiaries, suppliers, printers, distributors, franchisees, participating retail stores and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releases") in these official rules, "immediate family" means parents, children, siblings and spouse are excepted from all participation. By entering the promotion, each entrant (and his/her parent/legal guardian if he/she is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence) agrees to abide by the promotion rules and all decisions of the independent judging organization, which shall be final and binding on all entrants in all matters relation to this promotion. Entries received after 12:00 midnight on Monday, April 30, 2012 will be considered null and void and will not be eligible to win a prize in this promotion. Entry forms shall be subject to verification and shall be null and void if they are found to not have been submitted in accordance with these promotion rules.

  3. How to Enter: To enter the RE/MAX Home Team Contest promotion (the "promotion") visit www.whlremaxhometeam.ca Fill in the entry form for a chance to win one (1) of five (5) prizes.

    Completed entry form ("Get Started") will give entrant one (1) entry. Additional entries will be granted if entrant continues to visit each step of the contest and complete the required task:

    • "Pick A Home": Select a home and place a RE/MAX sold sign in front of the house to receive one (1) additional entry to the contest.
    • "Move In": Drag and drop the items from the truck into the house to receive an additional two (2) entries into the contest.
    • "Invite Friends": Invite your family and friends to participate in the contest. Entrant will receive one (1) additional entry for each person invited. Up to five (5) invites / five (5) additional entries can be awarded.


    Entrants may submit an entry and complete the contest more than once.

    The RE/MAX Home Team Contest will also be promoted on Twitter http://twitter.com/theWHL or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/WHLHockey and will provide entrants a direct link to the contest site.

  4. No Purchase Necessary: Purchase is not required and does not improve a person’s chance of winning.

  5. Prizes:There are five (5) prizes available to be won at the outset of the promotion. One (1) Grand Prize, four (4) Second Prizes.

    Grand Prize (x1): Consists of one (1) $15,000 RE/MAX Home Entertainment Prize. The RE/MAX Home Entertainment Prize includes:
    • One (1) $5,000 RE/MAX Home Entertainment Prize which entitles the winner to $5,000 in cash courtesy of RE/MAX of Western Canada.
    • One (1) $10,000 prize from The Brick which entitles the winner to a $10,000 Brick Gift Card. Gift Card has no cash value and has to be given at time of purchase.

    Second Prizes (x4): Four (4) selected winners will each win one (1) $2,500 prize from The Brick. Each prize from The Brick consists of one (1) $2,500 The Brick Gift Card. Gift Card has no cash value and has to be given at time of purchase.

  6. Winner Selection / Notification: At the conclusion of the promotion on Monday, April 30, 2012, five (5) entries will be randomly selected within five (5) business days. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email within the five (5) business days of the promotions conclusion. If an eligible entrant cannot be contacted within the allotted time, he/she is no longer eligible to win and another entrant will be drawn and the process of contacting the new entrant will be repeated. Limit of one (1) prize per person. No communication will be entered into except with the selected entrants. The Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule any promotion draw. No responsibility is assumed by the Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter any draw for any reason.

  7. How to Claim Prize: Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question within twenty-four (24) hours of first contact. The selected entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the "Release Form") confirming compliance with these official contest rules & regulations, acceptance of the Prize Package as awarded without substitution, and releasing the Contest Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest judging organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with the Prize Package or this contest.

    Failure to answer the mathematical skill-testing question correctly or failure to return the Release Form within the time period indicated on the Release Form will cause the Prize Package to be forfeited and a new random draw from the remaining eligible entries will be conducted to select another entry and the process noted above will be repeated until a winner is declared or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.

  8. Publicity: By entering this contest, the contest winners authorize the Contest Sponsor and their representatives to use any related publicity required; their name, photograph, image, any statements they may make regarding the prize, place of residence and/or voice for advertising purposes and in any form of media including the Internet, without any form of compensation.

  9. The Decisions of the Contest Judges are final: In the event of a conflict between the rules and any instructions or interpretation of these rules given by a Western Hockey League or RE/MAX employee regarding a Contest, these rules shall prevail.

  10. General:
    By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to abide by the official contest rules & regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relative to this contest. All entries become the permanent property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned. RE/MAX will not re-use or re-sell the names compiled from this contest to any outside or promotional companies. The entries received will be strictly used for contest purposes only. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void where prohibited.

    The Contest Sponsor of the Contest Executor reserves the right to void any entry and/or cancel or modify the contest in whole or in part with no obligation or liability (without notice to entrants individually) if, in its sole subjective discretion, it determines that for any reason the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, fraud, technical failures, human, printing or distribution errors, or any causes or occurrences have compromised the administration, safety, fairness or integrity of the contest.
